Jillibean Soup Cards - Chicken Noodle and Egg Drop - Yummy!

Here are a variety of cards I made for That Scrappy Girl. These products are available in the store and she is running a NSD special until May 1st - FREE SHIPPING! Just use the code NSD2010 during checkout. I used Chicken Noodle Soup papers and stickers on this card set. I used the edge I cut off from the journaling block on my envelope, so that I could tie everything together. The kraft card base and envelope are also Jillibean Soup. The buttons are from Basic Grey.

On this card and envie set I used Egg Drop Soup papers and stamps. I paper pieced his body using more of the paper. The kraft card base and envelope and the Journaling Sprouts are also from Jillibean Soup.
And last, a little card in honor of my son, who's favorite animal is a pig :-) I used Chicken Noodle Soup and cut elements from the different papers.

Creatively Green Creations

These first two cards were made with the Kaleidoscope Kreator 3 program - the January sponsor at Creatively Green. I uploaded a picture of the kids in their Christmas clothes and one of Emma at preschool graduation and used different kaleidoscope features to make the "embellishments." It was super easy to use. Believe me, I can be tech challenged sometimes and if I can use it, anyone can! Also another "green" tidbit, I used the packaging on the Jenni Bowlin bingo cards for my congrats card.

Here is another card I made with Creatively Green's cardstock and Jillibean Soup papers. I used my Martha Stewart punch to make the border.

Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs 1-2-3 Intricacies Paper

Here is a card I made for the MOSD blog this month, featuring the 1-2-3 Intricacies Paper. It comes as an 11x11 paper, but I cut off a small piece to use for my card and still have plenty left over for other projects. I ran my piece thru my Cuttlebug Dots Embossing Template to give it some texture. The Bazzill cardstock, Jillibean Soup Alphabet Soup paper and Deja Views teacher sticker are from an earlier That Scrappy Girl kit. The ribbon is Bazzill and the school brads are from The Paper Studio. I added pop dots behind the white scalloped Bazzill paper so that I could tuck the ribbon under. The size of the card is 6x6.

The Scrappy Shack Creations

Here are some cards I made using die cuts from The Scrappy Shack. These first two cards used pieces of the same die cut. I cut apart the Flourish die cut - one to create a branch, one to create a stem. The papers I used are Jillibean Soup Grandma's Christmas - although one card didn't end up being a Christmas card.
On this card I used the Flourish Frame die cut to create this wedding card. I added a transparency behind it and a few pearls to dress it up. The papers are from Making Memories - Sabrina.

This post is short and sweet as I still have a lot to do for Christmas. I procrastinate on the wrapping, packing, baking etc. every year - you'd think I'd learn!

Eco Friendly Holiday Project at Creatively Green

This month Creatively Green has a daily Eco Friendly Holiday post. You will find all kinds of fun projects - cards, gift wrap, ornaments etc - be sure to stop by each day and see what the team is up to. There are also daily giveaways!

This project I made using a cardboard beef jerky can. I like to hold onto different canisters. I never know when I'll need one and the kids love to decorate them too! This can be used for cookies, pretzels, tshirts, whatever strikes your fancy (I gave it the sniff test and it is jerky free...lol) This measures 4 x 7. I used Jillibean Soup's Grandma's Christmas line and handcut the embellishments from the papers.

I hope everyone is staying warm this holiday season. We had about 15 inches of snow last week and now ice is on it's way today. Sounds like a perfect day to craft to me!

Look Who's Talking Kit - Jillibean Soup

Here is a gift bag and card I made with That Scrappy Girl's November's add on kit - Look Who's Talking. I will confess that I snitched the Jillibean ABC's from the main kit, but any alpha set you have in your own stash would work just fine too. Owls are "in" with papercrafting and these Jillibean Soup owls are super cute. I put pop dots behind the owls I cut from the paper and also added some Clearsnap Chesnut Roan chalk ink (it's my go to ink anytime I need a brown) to the corrugated alpha to distress them a bit.

I had some cardstock scraps with a crease left from when I made the friend card and so I left that crease at the top to give this simple little card a little something special.

That Scrappy Girl is also giving away some TaDa Studio goodies on this post and there is also a sketch challenge due December 1st where you can win some Cosmo Cricket.
Also a heads up that there is a giveaway of a variety of Urban Lily papers over on their blog. Very cute papers!

That Scrappy Girl - A Nutmeg Kind of Fall - November Kit

I posted these cards over on That Scrappy Girl's blog today. Both were made with the November Main Kit - A Nutmeg Kind of Fall - featuring Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg. The cute little tag on the first card is from Shabby Chic Crafts. When making these cards I also drew inspiration fromt the Tuesday Trigger over at Paper Craft's Moxie Fab blog. The Nutmeg line goes perfectly with this!

The November Mini Kit at That Scrappy Girl is also up - Look Who's Talking. It features Jillibean Soup's Talk Soup line.
There is also a new sketch challenge due on December 1st. You can win a Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday paper kit. I will be sharing my take on the sketch later this month.

A Couple More Alphabet Soup Kit Projects

* This will be featured in the September 2010 issue of Scrapbook Trends magazine.*

I am making this a super quick post as tonight is trick or treating at the nearby college and I need to get Mario and Woodland princess ready and out the door. I made both of these projects with the October Alphabet Soup kit at That Scrappy Girl. Jillibean Soup is so great to work with, so of course I'm in love with this kit!

Alphabet Soup Kit + Cool Page Sketch

Here is my take on Julie's sketch this month over at That Scrappy Girl. (click on the layout for a better look). I used the Alphabet Soup Kit and am loving this line by Jillibean Soup. This is my daughter Emma on her graduation day from preschool. I even hand journaled a bit on this! She is quite the little reader (even when she was in preschool) so I wanted to do a page to document this. I used the top part of the Read card from Jenni Bowlin and also cut out the "e" from the papers to add additional emphasis on her name and her reading skills.

That Scrappy Girl would love to see what project you make with this sketch. Don't forget to enter it in the sketch challenge, as you could win some fun Jillibean Soup product. You can find the original blog post here.

Scrap Within Reach - Carnival Ride

Here is another fun new line from Scrap Within Reach - Carnival Ride. I love the stickers that are with this line! Here are a few cards I made and I hope to have a layout or two to share with you soon. (Buttons are Jillibean and gems are Darice/Kaisercraft). This is a quick post as I need to go drop Emma off at a school thingy. Have a nice weekend!

Some Attempts At Stamping...

If you were to look at my stamp stash, you would think I was someone who actually stamps and knows what they are doing! I am trying to use more of my tools/products that I found pretty enough to buy, but intimidated to use. On this card I went mostly Jillibean Soup - Lentil papers, Home Tweet Home stamps, Alphabeans stickers and Bean Stalks twine. To make the grass, I stamped part of the tree tops. To make the trees, I did the same and stamped onto different patterned papers and then fussy cut.

On this card I used The Paper Company papers and stamps. I found this cute Woodland line at Archiver's. Sorry I can't seem to find a link to these papers on the web.

Coolness! These got a BOB (Best of Blogosphere) mention over at Card of the Week.

A Mish Mash of Jillibean Soup

I sat down to make a card and a layout happened instead. Happy accident! I used a variety of Jillibean Soup lines on this layout - Lentil, Cream of Mushroom, Talk Soup and Minestrone. I love that you can use the different lines together. I was really trying to stick a sprout somewhere on here, but I lost. I used some Alphabeans for the title. All of these products can be found at That Scrappy Girl for purchase if you are interested. I even used another of my Happy Bingo Cards from ShopMyKI that I won at ScrapNWin last month. I am not always good at journaling (because I hate my handwriting) and I even did that on this layout too!

I also wanted to share the kit That Scrappy Girl has available this month - the Alphabet Soup Kit. LOTS of Jillibean!

Alphabet Soup Kit Includes:
2 ground round - Jillibean Soup
2 hot water - Jillibean Soup
2 vegetable juice - Jillibean Soup

2 brilliant white scallop - Bazzill Basics

Jillibean Soup (a new soup - Lentil)

I picked up a bunch of their new stuff this weekend from That Scrappy Girl. This line is called Lentil Soup and my favorite part is the big flowers...because as I've said before...I love to fussy cut! I also won some of the ribbon and corrugated ABC's as one of the door prizes too! Also used some Alphabeans (alpha stickers) and Journaling Sprouts I had already nabbed another time. I have a layout in mind I want to make with paper, so hoping to get that cranked out soon.

P.S. Wanted to mention to everyone that That Scrappy Girl is having a design team call (open to US folks only -sorry). You can find more information on their website.

A Couple of Jillibean Soup Cards - Cream of Mushroom

Although I hate Cream of Mushroom soup (unfortunately it seems to be the hubby's fave ingredient to cook with - ick) , I will make an exception when it's scrappy related :-) This Cream of Mushroom Soup line from Jillibean Soup, has some super cute papers, perfect for my fussy cutting tendencies! (If you love these papers like I do, you can buy them here.) I think these were probably my 2 favorite cards I made all weekend while scrapping with the girls. To get the texture on the deer cards I used a Fiskars texture plate, although now that I have my Cuttlebug, eventually I won't need to be so labor intensive, once I get some embossing plates for it. The cute little deer is from the The Paper Company.

Jillibean Soup - Sketch #2

Here is my take on one of their sketches. I used papers from their Minestrone line, added a few Darice gems and Amercian Crafts thickers and wha...la! I love using butterflies, so of course I had to fussy cut some out :-)

Just My Sketches April 15th Reveal - Jillibean Soup

Here is my card for Just My Sketches April 15th sketch. I was really happy with the way this card turned out. It actually came together fairly quickly. Sometimes I can move elements around for an hour until I'm happy. I was trying to figure out what item to put in the rectangle and looked over and saw the raw chipboard Bazzill keys I had bought recently. I then came up with the sentiment, dug in the keys some more and even found one that had a heart on it...perfect! The heart gems are by Martha Stewart and the papers are from Jillibean Soup and the Minestrone line. I have been wanting some of their papers since they came out and hadn't ordered any online yet. No one local has it yet...boo hoo... Lo and behold, I won some goodies and from Creating Keepsake's blog and among other things it included some Jillibean! I distressed all of the edges with my Heidi Swapp sander (love that thing) and inked up the key with my all time fave ink Clearsnap Chestnut Roan.

Cosmo Cricket Cards

Here are a couple cards I made a little while ago using their Honey Pie line. Speaking of Cosmo Cricket be sure to check out Leah Killian's blog as she is giving a ton of goodies away!

You will probably not hear much from me until after the new year. I MUST wrap presents asap and need to get a couple more items bought or the Santa gifts will be pretty weak this year! Also need to get some cooking done. I am working Monday and Tuesday and then taking the rest of the week off.
Other shares:

Paper Crafts picked up a couple cards for their Card Creations Vol 7 issue coming out in June. I just love their publications and am always thrilled to get an email from them. Cath also has a new blog that has tons of inspiration and giveways too. Be sure to check it out - it is Moxie Fab!

Jillibean Soup - I found this fun company who has some super cute product. The owner also likes the Iowa Hawkeyes so score one for her in my book!

Happy Holidays to everyone!!!!!
