Some Spooky Die Cuts from The Scrappy Shack - BOO!

Here are some Halloweeny type things I made last weekend while cropping with my sisters. These all use the Halloween Die Cut Frames from The Scrappy Shack. They are available in any color! On this one I even recycled a bit. The green dotted and spiderweb papers, are actually packaging from some Making Memories sticker packages. And I'm a girl that loves my gems, so I added a few to jazz things up.
This one I may have gotten a "little" crazy with the Doodlebug glitter. I honestly am still wearing some of that glitter! As if the glitter didn't make it sparkly enough, I added some bling.

I generally don't make a lot of tags, but I thought these frames were the perfect size for that. I used Scenic Route papers and some Making Memories stickers.

GIVEAWAY! I wanted to remind everyone that The Scrappy Shack is giving away 20 die cuts at the end of September, so be sure to stop by their blog to get your name entered!

Moxie Fab Christmas Creations

Here are a few Christmasy creations for the contest going on over at the Moxie Fab blog. I used My Mind's Eye papers and think this would fall under the Vintage and Shabby contest.

I used Scenic Route papers on this card. On the trees I cut out extra trees, traced the detail on the tree with my glue pen, applied glitter and used pop dots to give the card some dimension. Because of the shiny glitter and gems, I'm think this falls best into the Classy and Elegant contest.

*This will be featured in Scrapbook Trends Create issue - Winter 2010*

I used Bo Bunny papers on the red gift set and We R Memory Keepers (flocked) papers on the blue gift set. I would say these both probably go under the Classy and Elegant contest, although the distressed papers on the blue set also give a vintagey feel.

Some Recent Pubs

Featured in Paper Crafts Magazine's September/October 09 issue - also as an online project.

There two were featured in CARDS magazine's July 2009 issue.

There two were featured in Crafts N' Things September/October 2009 issue.

I have been procrastinating on getting my new scrap studio organized and I have decided this month it is happening and am even taking a couple days of work to tackle it. (I'm embarassed to admit that it was finished being built this spring). I will eventually post some pictures, but then I'm admitting to world I'm spoiled because the room is huge and I have way too many supplies (oops). Because of Operation Organize, I don't have anything new to share this week, but am sharing some cards that were featured recently in various magazines. My plan is to tackle my desk today - I have been sorting embellies, papers etc already) , so I promise you I will have new things to share by the end of the week!

2S4U Laura #27 - Scenic Route Garden Grove

Here is my take on Laura's sketch this week. I used some Scenic Route's newer Garden Grove line for the paper and stickers. Imaginesce star rubons and Paper Studio glitter brads completed the project.

Emma and Mommy crafting weekend has officially begun. Daddy and Parker are off on a Scout camping trip and Emma is already at her desk working on her first project. She already asked if I'd take a picture of it and put it on the computer...lol... The camera went with the campers so the Emma fans will have to wait a day or two :-)

Sorry If I'm Being A Bit Sketchy...

I was home with a sick Parker yesterday and so while he was resting, I played. Plus carpet repair dudes were here (for the last time, thank goodness!) and so I hid out so I wouldn't get in their way. I made this card with Kazan's Sketch #19 at 2 Sketches 4 You. I used some scalloped Bazzill paper, SEI paper, KI Memories chipboard and Around The Block tape. (I'm beginning to think I have a serious addiction to label tape...but it's just so easy and quick to use!)

This card I made for a sketch challenge over at the Bo Bunny Blog. I was so excited that one of my favorite LSS's Maple Street Memories (ok it's not so local, but they do set up shop sometimes at crops I go to), had a bunch of Bo Bunny paper so I just had to have them. I was down to a couple scraps and that wasn't going to get me far. In addition to the Bo Bunny paper and brads, I also used Daisy D's flowers rubons and American Craft sentiment rubons. I believe the flowers are Bazzill.

****REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION IN PAPER CRAFTS SEPT/OCT 2009 ISSUE.
This card was made with Sketch #155 from Card Sketch A Day. I did end up veering off the sketch a bit..oops! Their site as their name states...has a card sketch every day...that's a lot of sketches...cool! I used some Making Memories Passport papers and ABC stickers (I was so excited I found my stash of these tiny alphas...I also seem to have an addiction to them too) , KI Memories chipboard and some Martha Stewart pearls that accidentally fell in my cart this weekend.

Here is a card I made with Sketch #101 at CPS. I have to admit I was a little worried about using the criss cross on the sketch. This card actually came together very quickly once I grabbed the Surprise line from Scenic Route. It's kind of a simple card, but with such busy papers, I saw simple is better :-) I also saw today that my Scenic Route Suprise items I had made on an earlier post were selected as one of the winners on the Scenic Route website for January's Product Challenge...cool beans!
I even made two more cards yesterday, but I'm going to hold off posting as I made for a sketch pub call. If they don't get the love I will share next week. It's sad that I can get more made in a hour or two at home, then 8-9 hours at a crop!

Scenic Route Surprise!

*CARD REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION IN JULY CARDS 2009 ISSUE*

At the crop last weekend I got to chance to play with a lot of my new scrap goodies. The first things I made were with the Scenic Route Surprise line. I even made a layout and I was actually very happy with it :-) I just love the bright colors of this line. The kit also came with die cuts, chipboard and stickers and so I used a little bit of everything. I still have plenty left over so I plan to make some more birthday cards or possibly a bday party mini album in the future. Only other extras include some American Crafts thickers on the layout and some Bazzill cardstock, Mark Richards pearls, Prima flowers, Darice gems and some Are You Kitting Me felt circles on the cards.

2 Awesome Kids Layout - Creatively Yours Sketch

This layout is simple and quick. It's also 6x12, my first time trying that size. I'm planning to hang this in my new scrap room (if it ever gets done?) I used Scenic Route and Fancy Pants paper, American Crafts vinyl Thickers and Martha Stewart flower stickers. You can find the sketch here.

Hope everyone is keeping warm...here in Iowa it is FREEZING!!!

Creatively Yours - Card Sketch #15

On this card I went a little crazy with a variety of manufacturers. I made it with a fun card sketch from Creatively Yours. I used Bazzill Bling cardstock, Scenic Route Sonoma papers, KI Memories Hula Envy lace cardstock, Basic Grey Urban Prairie cardstock stickers, Making Memories sticker and some Darice gems.
Off to take the hubby out for supper...he turns the big 4-0 tomorrow!

Use Your Stash Chipboard Challenge Cards

Here are the cards I made for September's challenge over at Use Your Stash. The challenge product was chipboard. Lets just say I have no shortage of chipboard (and leave it at that...lol). On this card I used a raw chipboard star from Scenic Route. Where you ask? It's under the orange and blue papers. It gave the card nice dimension and without making it too heavy. I used kraft cardstock, Around the Block papers and Darice gems. I've used this birthday paper alot. Love the bright colors and I love that you can cut the different sentiments right out of the paper.

Ok, it's not anywhere near St. Pat's day yet (but in the scrappy world it is). I used Bazzill cardstock, Die Cuts With A View paper and sentiment sticker, American Crafts chipboard swirls and also a DCWV chipboard Pot O' Gold.

Be Cool Card - Scenic Route

I made this for their July challenge. It was to make anything summer themed. This is one of their older lines, but I still love it! I had some scraps left and I thought this paper shouted summer! In addition to the paper (I also made the rays by cutting strips from the paper) and the chipboard triangle from being from Scenic Route, I also used Bazzill cardstock, American Crafts chipboard ABC's, Paper Studio bling and miscellaneous buttons. Size is 6x6.
