Jillibean Soup Cards - Chicken Noodle and Egg Drop - Yummy!

Here are a variety of cards I made for That Scrappy Girl. These products are available in the store and she is running a NSD special until May 1st - FREE SHIPPING! Just use the code NSD2010 during checkout. I used Chicken Noodle Soup papers and stickers on this card set. I used the edge I cut off from the journaling block on my envelope, so that I could tie everything together. The kraft card base and envelope are also Jillibean Soup. The buttons are from Basic Grey.

On this card and envie set I used Egg Drop Soup papers and stamps. I paper pieced his body using more of the paper. The kraft card base and envelope and the Journaling Sprouts are also from Jillibean Soup.
And last, a little card in honor of my son, who's favorite animal is a pig :-) I used Chicken Noodle Soup and cut elements from the different papers.

Some Attempts At Stamping...

If you were to look at my stamp stash, you would think I was someone who actually stamps and knows what they are doing! I am trying to use more of my tools/products that I found pretty enough to buy, but intimidated to use. On this card I went mostly Jillibean Soup - Lentil papers, Home Tweet Home stamps, Alphabeans stickers and Bean Stalks twine. To make the grass, I stamped part of the tree tops. To make the trees, I did the same and stamped onto different patterned papers and then fussy cut.

On this card I used The Paper Company papers and stamps. I found this cute Woodland line at Archiver's. Sorry I can't seem to find a link to these papers on the web.

Coolness! These got a BOB (Best of Blogosphere) mention over at Card of the Week.

SEI Cards - Poppy Collection

Supplies: SEI papers, stickers, die cuts, Mark Richards pearls, American Crafts rubon sentiment, Bazzill flower and Paper Studio brad set. The white paper is super shimmery IRL.

More SEI papers and diecuts, Mark Richards pearls and American Crafts vinyl Thickers. Sorry for the washed out pic...not sure why this card didn't want to smile!

Even more SEI paper and stickers, some more American Crafts Thickers, and again with the Mark Richards pearls. I only bought one color of the pearls and I need to get more. I'm hooked! I inked everything with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan - my all time fave ink! The smaller blue butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch. I also did some stamping. One of my goals for 2009 is to greatly improve my stamping and start using my endless supply of stamps! The big butterfly and the brown one are from Cornish Heritage Farms. On the big butterfly I stamped on the card and then cut another one out and bent the wings for added dimension. I also cut out the little brown one. They are designed by Kim Hughes and called Little Gal. There are all kinds of stamps in this set and I am hoping to make some more things with them soon. She has a million stamps out there to pick from so be sure to check out their site. If you are ever looking for great inspiration be sure to check out Kim's blog too!

CHA is fast approaching and that means giveaways galore as new product lines come out. There are also some bloggers with giveaways too. Here are a few I have come across:

Smile Card

Still trying to decide if I like this one or not, but I'll share anyway!

Autumn Leaves French Twist papers, Paper Studio bling, Apple Blossom Studio Suzie Scallop stamp, Ice Jade Clearsnap ink, K and Company sentiment sticker and Heidi Grace flocked sticker. Size is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

Miss Emma's Card Creations (She's 5!)

I was upstairs working on some cards when Miss E came up for a looksy. She LOVES my scraproom. Unfortunately with my room being so tiny and I have stuff piled everywhere there isn't much room in there for her to create. She does make stuff from time to time, often involving jewels and my glue dots! If and when we build on, when I get a larger scrap room I want to make sure there is plenty of room for a kids area. She made these cards all by herself. Actually it's one card decorated on each side. She did everything herself, with the exception of stamping. She picked out the stamp and ink, but I stamped it for her where she told me to. Not only does she like to scrap, but she loves to draw. And in my opinion she's pretty darn good at it. I'll have to post some drawings sometime. I can't draw at all, so not sure who she gets it from? She got into some of my good stuff - I tried not to flinch :-)

Products used are: DCWV stickers, Daisy D's Chloe Marie border sticker, Clearsnap ink, Suzie Scallop stamp from Apple Blossom Studio, Paper Studio gems (she's into bling like her mommy!) Card base is from DMD and size is 5x7.

On this side she used Scrapworks Shimmer Shapes and also added some Daisy D's Chloe Marie border sticker and a Paper Studio gem. DMD card base size 5x7.

Misc Card!

(Click for a better view)

I'm not sure what category this card falls under? Love maybe? The kids had soccer practice tonight (man it's hot) and I managed to find a few minutes in my scrap room after we got home. I used Autumn Leaves French Twist papers, K and Company quote sticker, the new Loop-De-Loo stamp from Apple Blossom Studio, Clearsnap Chestnut Roan ink, Artful Collage flowers and leaves from Prima, and some Paper Studio gems. Size is about 4 3/4 x 6 1/2.

Creatively Yours - Card Sketch #9

(click for a better view)
Big shocker it rained here again yesterday (A LOT!) And of course that meant our electricity went out again - this time for about 5 hours. About once a week this keeps happening sigh.... So I'm finally able to get this card posted to the blog.

You can find this cool sketch here. I modified some as you can see - such as making the card a narrow up and down one instead of squatty. I used some more of the yummy Daisy D's Chloe Marie, added a K and Company quote sticker, Paper Studio bling and some Jolee's butterflies that I found in my stash when I was looking for something else...love when that happens! It's like you went shopping, but didn't spend anymore money. Hubby has to like that!! I also used the Blossom Badge frame stamp from Apple Blossom Studio and Colorbox chalk ink to make the die cut looking thing under the quote.

Whale Done Card - Melissa Phillips Sketch Challenge/Lime Tart

(click on picture for better view)
I made this for a sketch challenge at Melissa Phillips' blog. I stalk her blog quite regularly. The stuff she makes is just amazing! I love the way she layers things and pays attention to the smallest detail. When I try to layer embellishments or try something shabby chic, it just turns into a disaster! Be sure to stop by for some great inspiration!

Size of the card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I used Bazzill cardstock, paper and sticker is once again from K and Company's Berry Sweet line, ABC rubons and glitter cardstock are Doodlebug, Brads are Paper Studio, ink is Clearsnap and the oval/square stamp is from Apple Blossom Studio. I won this stamp along with some others from her blog and they rock! I like that they are a bigger size and also take ink great. I'm planning to use on more projects so be sure to check back for more stamp stuff!

Use Your Stash July Challenge - Use Your Stamps!

Using Clearsnap Chestnut Roan (my all-time fave ink) I stamped the turtle onto Scenic Route Asheland Avenue from the Ashville line, added some bling from The Paper Studio and then cut him out. I adhered him to a quote card I cut from Fancy Pants Sweet Spring line - I love those cards! I stamped the Bazzill card base and the Prima flower with a flower from KI Memories Blooms stamp set. I adhered the flower with a pop dot and added bling to center as well. Turtle stamp is from the Kim Hughes Collection of Cornish Heritage Farms. Size is 4x6.

I stamped Hot Off the Press Flight of Fancy butterfly stamps onto embossed swirl Doodlebug paper to add some texture. I then bent the wings slightly and added pop dots for more dimension. The other stamp I used was the sentiment and that is from the Kim Hughes Collection of Cornish Heritage Farms. Paper is Rusty Pickle Pop Star and bling is from The Paper Studio. Size is 5x7

I made these for the July Challenge over at Use Your Stash. The turtle and the sentiment stamp I got in a RAK (along with some other cool goodies) from Kim Hughes. Be sure to check out her blog. Her stamps are so adorable and I see that she is coming out with a cool paper line as well. I wish I had one teaspoon of her talent!

I've already got some other ideas for that turtle floating around in my head including a card that says - You're a Hero in a Half Shell!
