Krusty Klaus - Crate Paper's North Pole Collection

Here is a layout I made this weekend using Crate Paper's North Pole Collection. I have been wanting to make a layout about this goofy Christmas Eve tradition for a long time. On Christmas Eve Krusty Klaus visits my husband's family bringing gag gifts for all. He wears a moth eaten suit, dirty work boots, goggles and is generally just pretty crusty! This year he even brought reindeer poop (Cocoa Puffs). Last year Emma figured out Silly Santa was Grandpa, but had to explain to Parker how she figured it out - Grandpa is always missing, it looks and sounds like Grandpa etc...lol. You can find this cute collection from Crate Paper at That Scrappy Girl. Other goodies I used were some Bazzill ribbon, Making Memories mini abc stickers, Tombow permanent adhesive and a Martha Stewart border punch. And a lot of pop dots - I put behind the ornaments, the blue strips of paper and the main photo.

CK & Me Challenge

One of my favorite columns in Creating Keepsakes magazine each month is Jennifer McGuire's Tools and Techniques column. She is just so stinkin' creative! In the May issue (pg 45-47) she talked about circle punches and had a variety of examples on how to use them. One was the flower below.










I used this technique and made this purple card below. I used Core'dinations cardstock so I also did a little sanding and crinkling too. I decided to leave a sentiment off, but you could easily add one to inside if needed.



Today is NSD - National Scrapbooking Day - and I think I've spent most of the day surfing the net instead of up in my scraproom. I was hoping to go to a crop today, but it just wasn't in the cards. Be sure to check out the Creating Keepsakes Blog thru out the day for more challenges and giveaways!

Good Mail Week!

Received a couple of happy emails this week - one from Cards Magazine requesting a card for their February 09 issue and also found out I was a winner in the Creating Keepsakes/Michaels August Gallery contest.

Also received my complimentary copy of Holiday Cards and More from Paper Crafts. I have a Christmas tag in there. Everything in there is gorgeous. I feel lucky to have even had something picked up!
