Echo Park Sweet Summertime and SRM Stickers

I'm loving the new Echo Park collection Sweet Summertime. I was able to play with it while at the CKC crop this weekend in Des Moines. I went with Mimi (That Scrappy Girl) and some of her scrappy friends. I took a few classes, did a little shopping and even a little cropping! Be sure to stop over at That Scrappy Girl's store and pick up this paper pack before it's gone. I'm guessing it won't last long! The sentiments stickers I keep reaching for are from SRM Stickers. The tiny alphas on the sun card are My Little Shoebox.

A Few That Scrappy Girl Cards - October Afternoon, Sassafras Lass and SRM Stickers

I've had these cards made for awhile and snapped some photos that I didn't like the coloring on. Then didn't seem to get around to taking new ones. Here they finally are. I had one more to share, but it was picked up for a magazine...yipee! These first two cards were made with the October Afternoon Fly A Kite collection. The mini alphas are also October Afternoon...I love mini alphas - they are a staple in my stash. The sentiments stickers are from SRM Stickers. The last card was made using Sassafras Lass's Apple Jack collection. The little strip under the star is from the scalloped paper age that comes on all of their papers. I am also a sucker for scalloped stuff! The October Afternoon and Sassafras Lass papers can be found at That Scrappy Girl. I hope that everyone has a great 3 day Memorial weekend!

TaDa Creative Studios/That Scrappy Girl

Here are a couple cards I made for That Scrappy Girl's blog this week - featuring TaDa Creative Studios Signature collection. I love the lasercut cardstock with the circles and the colors of this line. Perfect for all kinds of cards! Other goodies used include American Crafts rubon, Martha Stewart border punch, Bazzill ribbon, Mark Richards pearls, Kaisecraft pearls (teal), Doodlebug frills and Making Memories diecut.

A Bit of Everything...

Here are some more cards I've made recently. I hadn't felt like I've gotten much created lately, but then realized I had a bunch I need to get photographed, written up and posted, so apparently I have been more creative then I thought.

This has Bazzill ribbon, Creative Cafe buttons, Fancy Pants Frosted papers, Jillibean Soup journaling spot, EK Success border punch and SRM stickers - Hello Quick Card collection.

On this card I used Bazzill embossed cardstock and buttons, October Afternoon Very Merry paper, Doodlebug sticker and American Crafts rubons.

This card has Bazzill cardstock and ribbons, Creative Cafe buttons, some more Fancy Pants Frosted paper, EK Success border punch, Doodlebug frills and an SRM sentiment sticker - Thinking of You collection.

Here is some more October Afternoon Very Merry paper and a variety of Doodlebug stickers.
*This card will be featuring in Scrapbook Trends Stamping Idea book in the summer 2010*

I went a bit shabby on this one. I used my Heidi Swapp edge distresser and Clearsnap chestnut roan ink for the shabby, Bazzill embossed cardstock and ribbon, Fancy Pants flower rubon, Queen and Company pearls and a Jillibean Soup sentiment stamp.

SEI - Black Orchid Collection

While cropping last weekend, I pulled out this package of SEI paper - Black Orchid Collection. It is very pretty and I'm not sure why I haven't used this earlier. All the papers on these cards (except the red polka dots which is October Afternoon Verry Merry) are from this line. Cardstock is Bazzill, large pearls are K and Company, medium teal pearls are Bazzill, ribbon is Bazzill and Paper Studio, small pearls are Mark Richards, red gems are Paper Studio, button is Making Memories, border punches are EK Success and Martha Stewart, sentiments stickers are American Crafts, friends rubon is Basic Grey and black foam letters are Queen and Company.

Look Who's Talking Kit - Jillibean Soup

Here is a gift bag and card I made with That Scrappy Girl's November's add on kit - Look Who's Talking. I will confess that I snitched the Jillibean ABC's from the main kit, but any alpha set you have in your own stash would work just fine too. Owls are "in" with papercrafting and these Jillibean Soup owls are super cute. I put pop dots behind the owls I cut from the paper and also added some Clearsnap Chesnut Roan chalk ink (it's my go to ink anytime I need a brown) to the corrugated alpha to distress them a bit.

I had some cardstock scraps with a crease left from when I made the friend card and so I left that crease at the top to give this simple little card a little something special.

That Scrappy Girl is also giving away some TaDa Studio goodies on this post and there is also a sketch challenge due December 1st where you can win some Cosmo Cricket.
Also a heads up that there is a giveaway of a variety of Urban Lily papers over on their blog. Very cute papers!

Tinkering Ink Card

I made this a little while ago, but I don't think I ever shared. It's made using Tinkering Ink's Provincial Fare line. The bling is Paper Studio and the ribbon was in my stash...I think something from a package if I remember right.

Di Hickman Sketch - June #3

I feel like I've been in a creative card slump lately so I'm hitting the sketches hard. I'm having a lot of fun! It's a good starting point and sometimes you end up sticking to the sketch pretty literally and sometimes you deviate! I have been checking out Di's blog on a regular basis and gave a go at last Wednesday's sketch. My card is a little funky so beware! Fancy Pants Playing Card, Prima Flowers, DCWV brads, Basic Grey paper, Paper Studio bling, of course my Dymo lable maker and a key I found in the junk drawer.

A Couple of Cogsmos!

The name reminds me of the Jetsons! Cogsmo is a cute paper line from Cosmo Cricket and it just happened to fall in my cart the other day at Hobby Lobby....
The first Cogsmo card you will need to click here to find it in the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol contest.

The "I'm nuts for you" card was also made with Cogsmo and also some American Crafts ribbon, Doodlebug rubons, Bazzill cardstock and Paper Studio brad screws.

It keeps raining here off and on, so during a dry spell I ran outside to snap these.

PC Idol Card Attempt #3 - Rusty Pickle Popstar

Card #3

I got a layout and card made with the Rusty Pickle Popstar and also a valentine card made with some Heidi Grace/K and Company today, but can't post any of them yet. I am entering them for some things, so if they don't get love, they'll end up here eventually!

Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Entries

The first round are friendship cards - but we can't post them online anywhere but their gallery so see the links below. I made these a few days ago and have finally been able to get some pics of them taken. I used Cosmo Cricket's Honey Pie line on both of them. This paper is very versatile and can be used for a variety of cards. Also like how it looks little bit shabby, but not too crazy shabby!
