She Might Need Some Makeup Tips?

I made this for the monthly sketch challenge over at the Rusty Pickle blog. I used Rusty Pickle's Pirate Princess papers and stickers and also used some Pop Star stickers. Extras include Prima Bling, Petaloo flowers (just had to buy those today and the crop and I used them all!), my EK Success Threading Water punch, Around the Block label maker and tape and some Bazzill Bling cardstock. (You may want to click on the layout for a better view) This happened after Emma asked if she could wear a little lipstick. It was the bright red recital lipstick, but silly me said sure. I didn't realize it also involved the skin around the mouth...I didn't think I'd ever get all of that off! I think she looks a little bit like the Joker..don't tell her that!

The next two cards were made with sketches from Page Plans - here and here. On the first card I used Graphic 45 and Basic Grey papers, Fancy Pants rubons and Petaloo flower. I inked everything with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan. The second care is made with Doodlebug flocked paper (circles) and some kraft cardstock, a couple of Hambly transparancies, some Making Memories stickers, Darice gem and another Petaloo flower. I love the bright colors on this one! (Page Plans will be having a contest the first week of February so if you like my cards, feel free to give me a vote :-)
I made this one with the January sketch from My Sketch World. I must be into green lately! I used Graphic 45 and SEI Papers, a Tim Holtz ticket (thanks Roni!), more Petaloo flowers, Paper Studio flowers brads, K and Company fabric brad, American Crafts rubon and sticker. I distressed edges and then also inked with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan.

Last but not least is a non-sketchy card! I did make it for a challenge though...I actually ended up double dipping as it qualifies for both Moxie Fab and Kim Kesti's challenge this week. I used Hambly transparency, Doodlebug glitter cardstock (I was so shimmery by the end of the crop today!), MAMBI gems, Joann's felt, Die Cuts With A View glittered paper and Around the Block tape and label maker.

It's Isn't Easy Being Green

I was home yesterday with a sick Parker and so while he napped, I dug out some supplies. I wanted to use some paper packs I had received recently and hadn't gad time to use yet. When I posted these, I realized everything is green! I also went out in below zero temps to snap these and the wind kept blowing them over and I began to lose feeling in my fingers so I apologize if a couple are crooked! I am also a sketch junkie so all of the cards below are based on sketches. I have some other sketches from other sites I want to tackle too. I am going to a crop on Saturday so hope to have some more to share soon.

*This will be featured in the April 2010 issue of Crafts N Things.*

This was made with the sketch #100 at Card Positioning Systems. They are having a big celebration this week so check it out. I used the Rusty Pickle Lucky line (thank you Jill and Rusty Pickle for the RAK!) and Prima Flowers.

Some more Lucky and Prima. The scalloped paper came from leftovers from the next card. I also find myself using kraft cardstock alot. I use it more than white it seems! This sketch is from a cool new site called Miss Hippy Chick Sketch Blog. They also have page layouts in case you aren't as obsessed with cards as I am!

This sketch is from another fun new site called Card Patterns. Even more Lucky and Prima (loving those felt flowers can you tell?), a Making Memories clip and some American Crafts letters. I heart the pattern on that blue paper.

I used a variety of scraps from my other projects to make this card. Rusty Pickle sticker and those yummy Prima flowers and a K and Company brad. This was made with Sketch #1 from A Scrap Addict's Sketches. They always seem to have a new sketch so be sure to stop by.

These last two cards are from 2 Sketches 4 You. Their DT always puts out the neatest cards. This is Rae's bonus sketch. She is a simple card girl like me..so I stalk her blog alot! SEI Oasis, Prima flowers and American Crafts ABC's. I bought a bunch of textured paper from Hobby Lobby and am digging this green snakeskin one. I apologize that the 'i' is crooked (numb fingers couldn't seem to straighten it) and the card is not sitting up, but my fingers were frozen and I had to work fast before frostbite set in!

This was made with Laura's sketch #18 this week. More SEI Oasis, more Prima, more American Crafts and added an EK Success flower sitcker. Sorry for all of the Hi cards, but my tiny letters stickers (one of my all time card faves) are packed away in one of my many scrapbook tubs for a little bit longer. The insulation is in the walls of my new scrap room...let the drywalling begin. This was put back a few days by the fact that a water pipe broke in our house and soaked our kitchen and family room early Sunday morning. Luckily we caught it early and besides the fact that we've had loud fans blowing on it all week, in the end there was little damage. And I'm happy to report not a single scrap supply was damaged :-)

Thanks for stopping by and stay warm!

SEI Cards - Poppy Collection

Supplies: SEI papers, stickers, die cuts, Mark Richards pearls, American Crafts rubon sentiment, Bazzill flower and Paper Studio brad set. The white paper is super shimmery IRL.

More SEI papers and diecuts, Mark Richards pearls and American Crafts vinyl Thickers. Sorry for the washed out pic...not sure why this card didn't want to smile!

Even more SEI paper and stickers, some more American Crafts Thickers, and again with the Mark Richards pearls. I only bought one color of the pearls and I need to get more. I'm hooked! I inked everything with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan - my all time fave ink! The smaller blue butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch. I also did some stamping. One of my goals for 2009 is to greatly improve my stamping and start using my endless supply of stamps! The big butterfly and the brown one are from Cornish Heritage Farms. On the big butterfly I stamped on the card and then cut another one out and bent the wings for added dimension. I also cut out the little brown one. They are designed by Kim Hughes and called Little Gal. There are all kinds of stamps in this set and I am hoping to make some more things with them soon. She has a million stamps out there to pick from so be sure to check out their site. If you are ever looking for great inspiration be sure to check out Kim's blog too!

CHA is fast approaching and that means giveaways galore as new product lines come out. There are also some bloggers with giveaways too. Here are a few I have come across:

Scenic Route Surprise!

*CARD REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION IN JULY CARDS 2009 ISSUE*

At the crop last weekend I got to chance to play with a lot of my new scrap goodies. The first things I made were with the Scenic Route Surprise line. I even made a layout and I was actually very happy with it :-) I just love the bright colors of this line. The kit also came with die cuts, chipboard and stickers and so I used a little bit of everything. I still have plenty left over so I plan to make some more birthday cards or possibly a bday party mini album in the future. Only other extras include some American Crafts thickers on the layout and some Bazzill cardstock, Mark Richards pearls, Prima flowers, Darice gems and some Are You Kitting Me felt circles on the cards.

Kazan Sketch #17 is Moxie Fab!

I went to a 15 hour crop today so I was able to tackle some cards and even a layout too. I will share over the next week or two. Right now I'm hurriedly posting this before the sketch deadline and then off to bed. Church comes early! This was made with 2 Sketches 4 You's weekly sketch - this week from Kazan. I thought the scallops on the sketch went perfectly with the dress challenge over at Paper Craft's Moxie Fab blog. The black and white paper (it has a velvety texture) is from Hobby Lobby, the white glossy cardstock is Die Cuts With a View, the black glitter cardstock is from Doodlebug and flowers are Creative Imaginations. I didn't put a sentiment, but this card screams of wedding to me. Click on it for a better look.

I was a dork and had my camera with me so I could snap pictures of all my cards. Luckily no one noticed or then you get the questions and weird looks. I had enough problems with a few ladies who were being way too obnoxious (loud) and the same ladies who wouldn't quit touching our supplies and creations. I little frustrating when you have glitter and wet Stickles on your projects! I have manners though and don't tell anyone to shut up or to keep their mitts off!

Scrapbook Trends Share

I was excited to have a card picked up for the November issue of Scrapbook Trends. It was my first time with them! This publication is full of layouts and a card section too. Everything in that magazine is always gorgeous, so I was honored to have something selected. I still haven't broken thru the layout barrier, but check out the December issue for an altered item of mine. On this card I used paper and stickers by Reminisce.

I am going to a 15 hour crop Saturday so I should have all kinds of things to share next week!
