Scrap Within Reach - Paper Boy Collection

Here is another layout and card I made last weekend while at the crop. I thought the colors of Paper Boy went perfectly with the photos I snapped of Emma after she FINALLY lost her first tooth. She has only lost one more since and appears to be a delayed tooth loser...LOL. She is not happy about this! Especially since she is one of the oldest kids in class and she knows of kids that are still 6 that have lost 4 or more....gasp!

A Couple More Alphabet Soup Kit Projects

I am making this a super quick post as tonight is trick or treating at the nearby college and I need to get Mario and Woodland princess ready and out the door. I made both of these projects with the October Alphabet Soup kit at That Scrappy Girl. Jillibean Soup is so great to work with, so of course I'm in love with this kit!

Here are a couple more creations from Saturday's 15 crop. I was able to create a couple things with the new That Scrappy Girl November kit. (The kit picture will be up soon on the website) I still have a bunch of ideas swirling in my head, especially cards. I always think Cosmo Cricket's lines work so well for cards because of all the different elements. The layout also tied in with an "I Love Your Smile" layout contest over at Ella Publishing. I just love this picture of my son Parker. He is my serious, analytical child, with a bit of a perfectionist streak (and isn't always a smiler). I bought this quarter map when he was a baby (which of course got lost somewhere in the back of the closet). We found it about a year ago and he immediately got obsessed with getting every quarter out there. He finally got to within one quarter and no matter how hard we tried, we could not find Pennyslvania. Bless his heart, Pastor Gene at church hunted one down for him.

Twitterpated about Thomas!

I went to a 15 hour crop yesterday and actually got a lot done! I know shocking! I'll be updating the blog all week with different projects. These projects I made with Imaginisce's Twitterpated line. I love the cute little animals in this line. This is my daughter Emma when she was 3 years old (she just turned 7 so I seem to be a bit behind on...lol). We took her to see Thomas the Train for her birthday and to say she was excited is an understatement. We treated her to a tshirt and she proceded to try to strip right in front of everyone so she could get that new tshirt on! She actually had really long hair, but these were snapped as soon as she put it on so it's still tucked in the tshirt. You can't see it very well in the picture, but she is also wearing her Thomas tennis shoes. I added the fox sticker, because she looked so "foxy" in that new tshirt :-)

Here are a couple cards I also made with this line. The green paper is actually some of the packaging from one of the sticker sheets. I love their papers because some are perfect for fussy cutting!

Cherry Hill with a Moxie Fab Ruffle

Here is a little card I made for Cath's Ruffle challenge over on the Moxie Fab blog. The papers/stickers/die cutr are from October Afternoon's Cherry Hill line, pearls are Martha Stewart and the ruffle ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I scored it when the Valentine's stuff was marked down 90 percent....I love a good bargain!

Alphabet Soup Kit + Cool Page Sketch

Here is my take on Julie's sketch this month over at That Scrappy Girl. (click on the layout for a better look). I used the Alphabet Soup Kit and am loving this line by Jillibean Soup. This is my daughter Emma on her graduation day from preschool. I even hand journaled a bit on this! She is quite the little reader (even when she was in preschool) so I wanted to do a page to document this. I used the top part of the Read card from Jenni Bowlin and also cut out the "e" from the papers to add additional emphasis on her name and her reading skills.

Quick and Easy Halloween Card

Every year October seems to be one of the craziest months of the year for our family. Soccer and football are wrapping up, my son turned 9 on the 19th (Happy Birthday Parker!) and there are Halloween activities galore in our town. In honor of that, I made this quick and easy Halloween card. Any busy Mom (or Dad) can easily whip this up between supper dishes and soccer practice :-)

I started with two chipboard pieces from the Perfectly Shaped Concave Build-A-Book Set. I used my Scor-It to create a crease on both pieces and added glittered brads 1/2 inch apart on the card edge to create the card base. I cut a piece of patterned Halloween paper slightly smaller than the card shape and adhered. A fuzzy Boo Halloween sticker, a bling ghost and one more glittered brad complete the card. Super easy!

Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet!

Here is a Halloween card I made with the Boo To You October Mini Kit over at That Scrappy Girl. I used the Pink Paislee Twilight papers (love that these papers are a touch vintagey but still with a lot of great color), added some sparkle with the brads and I used one of my favorite go-to techniques - fussy cutting. On this card I cute the 31 from the patterned paper and added some 3D dots behind it for dimension.

Is It Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas?

It is at The Scrappy Shack! They have all kinds of seasonal die cuts in the store, including this fun All I Want For Christmas diecut. It is actually an entire circle, but I cute off part of it so that it would fit onto my paper holder. I plan to hang this up for Christmas cards this year. Ours generally just end up piled up on the counter, so although I got a WEE bit crazy with the bright colors, shiny stuff and stickers on this project :-), I think it'll do the card holding job just fine! (Papers, gems, sequins, stickers are Doodlebug and the paper holder is Creative Imaginations.)

Scrap Within Reach - Carnival Ride

Here is another fun new line from Scrap Within Reach - Carnival Ride. I love the stickers that are with this line! Here are a few cards I made and I hope to have a layout or two to share with you soon. (Buttons are Jillibean and gems are Darice/Kaisercraft). Some Spooky Die Cuts from The Scrappy Shack - BOO!

Here are some Halloweeny type things I made last weekend while cropping with my sisters. These all use the Halloween Die Cut Frames from The Scrappy Shack. They are available in any color! On this one I even recycled a bit. The green dotted and spiderweb papers, are actually packaging from some Making Memories sticker packages. And I'm a girl that loves my gems, so I added a few to jazz things up.

This one I may have gotten a "little" crazy with the Doodlebug glitter. I honestly am still wearing some of that glitter! As if the glitter didn't make it sparkly enough, I added some bling.

I generally don't make a lot of tags, but I thought these frames were the perfect size for that. I used Scenic Route papers and some Making Memories stickers.

Scrap Within Reach - Paper Boy

I am loving Paper Boy! I love the colors and also those cute little bikes that were just asking to be fussy cut! Also love the stickers that came with the line. Here are a few things I made this weekend while at a crop. The paper holder is Creative Imaginations. I made one for Emma last month, so to be fair I made one for Parker this month :-)

Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs Stick Ons

I am a flower nut when it comes to scrapbooking. (Real flowers though are another story. I hate to garden and I can't seem to keep the houseplants alive either). When deciding what project to work on this month, these Flower Garden Stick Ons immediately caught my eye. These were extremely easy to use and when I decided I didn't want the flowers straight up and down, I curved the stems without any problem. I also added a chipboard circle and pearls to their centers. Although I chose not to alter the color on these, you can easily use alcohol inks, pens, paints or markers to change their color and appearance. I even have 2 left over for another project!

This is a picture of me and my daughter Emma (who just turned 7 last week) this summer at her first concert - Taylor Swift and Keith Urban. She loved it and stayed awake almost the entire time!

Sugar Canisters Can Be Moxie Fab!

I made this for Cath's Around the House Challenge over at the Paper Crafts Moxie Fab blog. You have until Monday, September 21st at midnight to enter. I reached for my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers and this cute little sugar canister. I used my Martha Stewart punch to make the fun edge on the right and my EK Success punch to make the edge on the left.

Bee Mine??

It's September so it makes perfect sense I'm sharing some Valentine's things with you right? These were made for some recent calls, but did not get the love. I did get some other things picked up though, so that's always fun. I have actually been creating quite a bit lately, but most I can't share. I've been asked to create a bunch of cards for a magazine and along with some DT stuff that I can't share yet, it's leaving my blog arsenal pretty slim right now. I guess it's a good problem to have :-)

The top two projects are using the We R Memory Keepers Heart Attack line. The chipboard heart is from Making Memories, pearls are Queen and Co, heart gems are Martha Stewart and tiny gems are Darice. As I look at this pictures, now I remember why I hadn't posted them on the blog yet. I took the photos inside at night...note to self... resnap outside and update the blog!

The other card is made with some Reminisce papers, K and Company sentiment, Hero Arts pearl hearts and Martha Stewart heart stickers.

Some Attempts At Stamping...

If you were to look at my stamp stash, you would think I was someone who actually stamps and knows what they are doing! I am trying to use more of my tools/products that I found pretty enough to buy, but intimidated to use. On this card I went mostly Jillibean Soup - Lentil papers, Home Tweet Home stamps, Alphabeans stickers and Bean Stalks twine. To make the grass, I stamped part of the tree tops. To make the trees, I did the same and stamped onto different patterned papers and then fussy cut.

On this card I used The Paper Company papers and stamps. I found this cute Woodland line at Archiver's. Sorry I can't seem to find a link to these papers on the web.

The Scrappy Shack is Moxie Fab!

I thought the Doodlebug Christmas pack would be perfect for the different Christmas Card Challenges going on over at the Moxie Fab blog. Last week I received a variety of die cuts from The Scrappy Shack including these gorgeous Holiday Frames (available in any color and size) that I thought they also went pefectly with this line. The little brown clay Rudolph is from Creatively Green's Reindeer Fun Trio that I received as one of my prizes last month from ScrapNWin. I'm terrible at categorizing my creations - I would say they all fall under Fun and Cute, the Reindeer card has a hint of Classy and Elegant/Clean and Graphic and even the presents card has a bit of Clean and Graphic too? Help!

Scrapbook Trends Sketch Challenge

For some reason I'm getting an error when I try to get into the Scrapbook Trends blog to link up the sketch picture and post, but Jennifer posted a sketch to use for a layout or card so I decided to give it a try. I used the Chatterbox Together line from That Scrappy Girl on this card and am a little bummed that I'm almost out of the felt embellies now :-( Also used a sentiment sticker from Bazzill and Karen Foster.
