A Couple of Nikki Sivils Cards - My Sweet Cherry Pie

I received some Nikki Sivils papers in my CKC goodie bag earlier this month. Unfortunately I haven't found any papers of hers locally yet and I'm not always much of an online shopper (mostly because I've already blown the budget locally!), so I was excited to get some. This is one of my favorite lines of hers - My Sweet Cherry Pie, I think it's the colors and then the fun elements I can cut from the paper. Here are a couple super simple, quick and easy cards. (The tree card I made for a sketch call at Paper Crafts, but it did not get the love, so I can share with you).

I had planned to hopefully type up a nice sized post with lots of projects tonight to make up for my lack of posting lately, but wouldn't you know yet another tornado warning tonight and I spent most of the evening in the basement with the kidlets. (This has been our 3rd one in the last month). This time the tornado was a couple miles east/northeast of us, but I have heard that it destroyed a few houses in our smallish town. I am waiting to hear more info, but luckily it sounds like no one was hurt. And sorry but this part is kind of funny: They had to cancel the Wizard of Oz performance tonight because of a tornado. Seriously...not making that up! It is now late and I'm tuckered, so will try to post more projects later this weekend.

Sassafras and SRM Sentiments...here's my CKC reject card!

I sometimes feel like a one trick pony, but I just love patterned papers where I can fussycut the patterns/pictures out. That Scrappy Girl's Sassafras Lass's Nerdy Bird papers are great for this. The flowers are from patterned paper and the "grass" and sun are stickers. The sun had longer rays, but I cut them down to fit on the card. I also find myself having my embellies hang off the edge of cards lately too. This card I made for a challenge at the CKC crop. We had to use something from out goodie bag (I chose the Queen and Co photo turns and the piece of white cardstock) It didn't get the love, but I still like it anyway! I also reached for another SRM Sentiment sticker...I'm about out I've used them so much!

Momenta - Altered Clipboard

I love quick and easy projects! I'm also loving the glitter rubons by Momenta. The clipboard is a mini at 6x6 and is from EK Success. I snatched this from the cheapy section of Archiver's. The rubons are RO1853 and I've linked you up so you can see the entire package. They went on super smooth to the clipboard - love that!

Echo Park Sweet Summertime and SRM Stickers

I'm loving the new Echo Park collection Sweet Summertime. I was able to play with it while at the CKC crop this weekend in Des Moines. I went with Mimi (That Scrappy Girl) and some of her scrappy friends. I took a few classes, did a little shopping and even a little cropping! Be sure to stop over at That Scrappy Girl's store and pick up this paper pack before it's gone. I'm guessing it won't last long! The sentiments stickers I keep reaching for are from SRM Stickers. The tiny alphas on the sun card are My Little Shoebox.

Momenta - Flutter Collection and a Giveaway!

Sorry for the lapse in posting, but my mojo left me during the month of June. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm thinking (hoping) that it's starting to come back. Here are some cards I made with the Flutter collection from Momenta. I chose this collection right away, because butterflies are one of my very favorite things to use on my projects. I also wanted to let you know that Momenta now has a blog so be sure to check it out for projects, giveaways and other fun stuff - there is a giveaway going on right now for some Moment product. If you are a digital scrapper be sure to also take their survey for a chance to win $50 in product.

I hope that everyone had a nice holiday weekend. We go back to my hometown every year for their celebration. It rained off and on, but the weather was perfect for the dance and parade.
