Lily Bee Designs Die Cuts

On this card I used the French Coture collection. The die cut is actually a scalloped square, but I cut off the top part (saving for another day!), used some photo corner die cuts as butterfly wings and then punched out another butterfly from another paper. Extras include Martha Stewart punch, Bazzill cardstock, Basic Grey pearls and American Crafts rubon.

On this gift bag the strip is from French Coture and the scalloped square (I cut off the sides) is from the Three Little Birds collection. I love when I can combine collections from a company. The tree brad is from Around the Block.

I had the good fortune to win some Lily Bee die cuts last month. I love the size of the die cuts because they are the perfect size for cards and gift bags...two of my favorite things to make! Don't get me wrong, they work on layouts too :-)

Graphic 45 - Communique Collection

I love to alter wooden signs. I snatched this black sign up on clearance awhile ago and have been waiting for the right papers. I wanted to keep the sign simple, but classic looking. The colors of the Communique collection (Pen in Hand and Shutterspeed papers) were perfect. I added a few Queen and Co black jewels to each letter. Very quick and easy project!

I had some paper left, so I also created this quick Best Wishes card. In addition to the Shutterspeed paper, I used the Martha Stewart scalloped punch, Mark Richards pearls and Cosmo Cricket alpha stickers.

Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs & Shimmerz Vibez!

I was lucky enough to win a bottle of the new Shimmerz Vibez spray in Razzel Dazzel Berry and got to try it out on my MOSD project this month. I sprayed one of the Build A Book Perfectly Shaped Scalloped Chipboard Album Pages with a generous helping of spray. I actually didn't mean to be quite so generous, but decided to let it dry and see what happens. Happy accident! The white side of the chipboard album page is a little slick, so the spray made a really neat pattern since it didn't stay in one place. The chipboard album page is actually scalloped on all 4 sides, but I cut off part of it to make the card. I also used a Picto Gram Hearts Stick On. You can also color these with sprays, markers, etc., but I left white so that it would stand out against my swirly background. Other items on the card include some Scrapworks chipboard hearts and a Making Memories acrylic circle sticker.

Some Rejects

Here are a few cards I made for some recent calls. They didn't get the love, so now I am sharing them with you. This first card uses papers from That Scrappy Girl's November kit featuring the Cosmo Cricket's Nutmeg collection. The cardstock is from Creatively Green. Sorry about the cheesy pun!
This card uses Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird collection. The cork teapot (came in a package of 3 I think) was from the $1 spot either at Target or Michael's. I'm such a sucker for the $1 areas!

This card was made using the October Afternoon Road Map collection also available at That Scrappy Girl. Lately I've noticed I'm going thru a phase of having my elements hang over the edge of my cards. I am such a rebel!

This last card I made uses Kaisercraft's Loire Valley collection. Rubon is from Basic Grey. I also made an Anniversary card out of the same line, but have somehow managed to misplace it. I can't imagine losing anything in my craft pit, I mean room? (insert sarcasm)
Challenge Alert! There is also a "Love" challenge going on over at That Scrappy Girl. You can win some Elle's Studio or Maya Road goodies. The winners will be announced on February 24th.

Thank you for stopping by today during Creatively Green's Eco-Friendly Valentine's Blog Hop! I LOVE to make cards, and am very excited that I get to bring you a couple different card sketches during the blog hop. My first one is a "chocolatey" sketch challenge with a delicious prize! The only requirement is that you use the color brown on your Valentine or Love themed card. If you find this sketch works better on a layout or altered project that is fine too!

Here is my card I made using the sketch above. I love to save the packaging from stickers (Making Memories has gorgeous packaging) and use it on my cards and other projects. It is not required that you do something "Eco Friendly" on your project, but if you do that is wonderful as well!

Once you complete your card/project, you will need to post a link on the February 11th post over at the Creatively Green blog in order to be entered in the challenge. Deadline is February 19th. You are welcome to also post the link on my blog so that I can check it out, but this is not required. What do you win if chosen during the random draw of all cards made with this sketch? A Bit of Everything...

Here are some more cards I've made recently. I hadn't felt like I've gotten much created lately, but then realized I had a bunch I need to get photographed, written up and posted, so apparently I have been more creative then I thought.

This has Bazzill ribbon, Creative Cafe buttons, Fancy Pants Frosted papers, Jillibean Soup journaling spot, EK Success border punch and SRM stickers - Hello Quick Card collection.

On this card I used Bazzill embossed cardstock and buttons, October Afternoon Very Merry paper, Doodlebug sticker and American Crafts rubons.

This card has Bazzill cardstock and ribbons, Creative Cafe buttons, some more Fancy Pants Frosted paper, EK Success border punch, Doodlebug frills and an SRM sentiment sticker - Thinking of You collection.

Here is some more October Afternoon Very Merry paper and a variety of Doodlebug stickers.
*This card will be featuring in Scrapbook Trends Stamping Idea book in the summer 2010*

I went a bit shabby on this one. I used my Heidi Swapp edge distresser and Clearsnap chestnut roan ink for the shabby, Bazzill embossed cardstock and ribbon, Fancy Pants flower rubon, Queen and Company pearls and a Jillibean Soup sentiment stamp.

Creatively Green Creations

These first two cards were made with the Kaleidoscope Kreator 3 program - the January sponsor at Creatively Green. I uploaded a picture of the kids in their Christmas clothes and one of Emma at preschool graduation and used different kaleidoscope features to make the "embellishments." It was super easy to use. Believe me, I can be tech challenged sometimes and if I can use it, anyone can! Also another "green" tidbit, I used the packaging on the Jenni Bowlin bingo cards for my congrats card.

Here is another card I made with Creatively Green's cardstock and Jillibean Soup papers. I used my Martha Stewart punch to make the border.
