Family Pics Mini Album - Clear Scraps/Pebbles Inc.

Acrylic Mini Album – Clear Scraps Flower Tab Album - won this on their blog!
Papers: Pebbles Inc. Skipping Along
Chipboard Pieces: Pebbles Inc. Chips - they came in a chip bag - too cute!
Gems: Darice, The Paper Studio
Glitter: Doodlebug, Tree House Studio
Foam ABC Stickers: American Crafts Thickers
Ribbon: Maya Road
Glue Pad: Martha Stewart
Glue Pen: Sakura
Size: 8x8

The acrylic album had a piece of the petal on each page. I used a glue pad to apply different glitter colors to each petal. I also added glitter to some of the papers and chipboard pieces using my glue pen. The album came with jump rings, but I used a piece of ribbon instead to tie the album together.
I apologize for some weird shadings. The neighbors probably think I'm a nutcase as I'm trying to put tissue paper out in our front yard with rocks during an extremely windy day and then trying to take pictures of it...lol...

Paper Crafts Card Creations Volume 7 and 225 Cards and Gifts Special Issues

Here is one of my 2 little ole' cards that are in Card Creations Volume 7. I honestly can't believe how many cards are in here! I took it to look at during Parker's soccer practice last night and didn't make it all the way through there were that many to look at. This card uses the Pink Paislee Pop Fashion line. It came together quickly. I was at a crop and people were starting to pack up, so I hurriedly whipped out just one more card. I almost didn't submit it as I thought it was too boring!

I don't think I ever shared this little Bunny gift box (just pretend like the bunny card isn't there!) that was in their 225 Cards and Gifts special issue. You can find the 2-4-6-8 template here. Papers are from Die Cuts With a View, one of their nursery lines.

I have some half finished things I'm hoping become finished things this weekend. We'll see if that shakes out or not. If it does, I'll have some more to share soon!
Hope everyone is staying cool. Here in Iowa the heat has been brutal. Or when it's not sunny and humid, it's storming like crazy. Parker says HOT stands for Humid Out Tonight. Thank goodness for AC! On the opposite end of the spectrum I had a Christmas card picked up for publication today. Jerry Seinfeld would call that Bizzaro World type stuff :-)

Daddy Don't Peek!

Emma has discovered my punches! Someone might as well get some use out of them...lol... She is in heaven! She did beg to use the Lime Rickey ducky sticker. I caved :-) She drew glasses on the duck since Daddy wears glasses. I just picked up the EK Success little bugs the other day and the other punches had been collecting dust.
I wanted to share this super cool layout that Claude posted recently. I am on the Scrap Within Reach team with her and I love what she did with her Clear Scraps acrylic page and the Emerson line. You can see it here. And I can't believe she hand cut out all of those butterflies!
Heads up on a cool giveaway: Pam is giving away a bunch of goodies over on her blog. She is super creative so be sure to look around while you are there!

Dad Card - Margarita Style!

The papers and die cut are from GCD's Margarita line. Who couldn't love that name? A lot of fun, bright colors, although I did choose some of the more subdued of the line for my Dad card. I don't think my husband would appreciate pink or purple! The ABC stickers are also GCD Glitter. I can only find the papers locally, but there are also some cute rubons, ribbons, chipboard and other goodies that also go with the papers and am hoping to order a few soon. The chipboard sentiment is Making Memories and the ribbon is from my stash. I am severely bow tying impaired, but am trying to improve :-)

This was in the March issue of CARDS.

This was selected for the May issue of Scrapbook Trends. From what I can tell when I saw a copy at the store is that is must not have made the final cut. Oh well..I'll share anyway!

I May Have Gotten A Little Crazy With The Mini Alphas.....

*This will be featured in an upcoming issue of Scrapbooking and Beyond*

You think? LOL.

This was my first acrylic page I've ever made. Also my first pictureless layout. Now I need advice on how to photograph the darn thing! I took some pictures with and without paper in the background. The papers are from Scrap Within Reach's The Cottage line, acrylic page is from Clear Scraps XL Deco pack, chipboard flowers, butterflies and gems are K and Company, My Mind's Eye rubon sentiment that says "We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing," American Crafts Thickers and a WHOLE bunch of Making Memories mini alphas. Towards the end I had to get creative with a couple of the blue ones as I've used them a ton and am mostly down to the weird letters. It's amazing what a black pen can change a letter into! (You can click on the pictures to read everything better).

This got a BOB (Best of Blogosphere) mention over at Card of the Week - yeah!

2S4U Laura #27 - Scenic Route Garden Grove

Here is my take on Laura's sketch this week. I used some Scenic Route's newer Garden Grove line for the paper and stickers. Imaginesce star rubons and Paper Studio glitter brads completed the project.

Emma and Mommy crafting weekend has officially begun. Daddy and Parker are off on a Scout camping trip and Emma is already at her desk working on her first project. She already asked if I'd take a picture of it and put it on the computer...lol... The camera went with the campers so the Emma fans will have to wait a day or two :-)

American Crafts Thickers Birthday Card Challenge

Who doesn't have an addiction to Thickers? I will fully admit that I do! When I saw this challenge on the American Crafts Blog, I knew it wouldn't be a struggle to use a Thicker or too. I debated foam, vinyl, puffy, glitter, chipboard, foam, felt.... I ended up using Vinyl Poolside (grapefruit) for the letters and Puffy Umbrella Accents (grapefruit) for the photo corners. I see they have the Puffy ones in Cricket (lime green) and I'm thinking I will have to hunt those down the next time I go shopping! The papers are from the Spring and Summer line. I love bright colors and flowers, so I have used this quite a bit. I threw on a few Paper Studio gems for some sparkle.
